Overview:

What is Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Training (ACMT)?

This two-week course teaches students how to identify and resolve issues with Apple portable devices and desktops. Students learn hardware specifications, troubleshooting techniques, component isolation steps, take-apart procedures, and hardware-specific service guidelines and resources. A combination of lectures, demonstrations, and lab exercises with Mac Books, and iMacs and Mac mini systems provides students with a variety of opportunities to become a Mac hardware and software expert.

Course Objective:

Apple Certified Technician Training provides all the information you need to prepare for the Apple Service Certification exams.

Course Outline:

Teaches you how to identify and resolve issues with Apple desktop and portable computers.

Week 1 - Mac Book Pro IMacs Desktop

  • Troubleshooting techniques, component isolation steps, take-apart procedures
  • Everything you need to diagnose and repair Apple computers. 
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of both desktop and laptop Macintosh systems

Week 2 – OSX & Apple Service Support Training

  • Emphasize identifying and resolving common OS X problems, and using Apple Service and Support products
  • Apple Service and Support products and practices to effectively repair Apple hardware. 
  • Final Exam Day

What is a Smart Phone Certified Technician?

A combination of lectures, demonstrations, and lab exercises with iPhone, Smart Phone, iPads and Tablets.

Week 1 - Level I Smart Phone Repair Training CDMA / GSM

  • Technical overview of current CDMA and GSM cellular technologies
  • Understanding the basic practices of service providers, handset diagnostics, basic cell phone assembly and disassembly, cell phone parts and components identities and static electricity
  • Proper removal and replacement of basic iced screens, flex cables, digitizers, lens, antennas, housings and faceplates.

Week 2 – Level II iPhone / iPod / iPad & Tablet Repair Course 

  • Device specific repair handset diagnostics, advanced cell phone assembly and disassembly
  • Cell phone parts and components identities, , proper removal and replacement of basic lcd screens, flex cables, digitizers, lens, antennas, housings and faceplates
  • Liquid damage recovery, software recovery, circuit board reflowing and
  • Many other repairs related to damage from improper operation, equipment misuse or abuse.
  • Intermediate Exam Day

Overview:

What is a Smart Phone Customer Support Technician?

This one-week level 1 course teaches students how to provide professional customer service, execute current sales techniques, identify, and resolve basic repair issues with mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets computers, and media players. Our program is presented through lectures, hands-on training, mock scenarios and open discussions; the students will be trained with the necessary skills to advance in the mobile device industry.  

Course Objective:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be prepared to enter a company with the customer service skills, sales techniques, technical repair knowledge, and problem solving capabilities that a typical entry-level employee needs training for. The student will be able to use their troubleshooting techniques to identify issues with a device, give professional consultations and perform basic repairs if necessary.
